Little Collections
February 2021
Though personal relationships with friends and family are and always have been important to me, quarantining for Covid-19 coupled with moving multiple times for school (with the possibility of moving again) has pushed me to take stock of the items in my life that I tend to keep with me and what importance they hold.
I found that many of the items I keep are held in little collections; some in the conventional sense of the word and others less so.  But collections don't always have to be the large holdings of comic books or Beanie Babies.  They can be small, utilitarian, or even seemingly jumbled and mismatched.
I am of the opinion that one can learn a lot about another
person based on the little (or large) collections they keep.  Are they religious? Do they value personal care?  What appearance do they like to put forth? What are the things in life which they enjoy? What are the things they deem important to keep on hand?
